Tacos, or as I refer to them “food of heaven,” are considered as the favorite food that originated from South of the border. Now I am not going to go into the details on the history of tacos, but historians have tracked their existence back to 18th century. Over the years, tacos have been reinvented by Mexican immigrants and later by the restaurant franchises like, Taco Bell.
We are not going to go down on a path of who started it first and who had it first, but we all can agree on one thing, “tacos are truly comfort food.”
Now, my love of tacos, started a while back with the knock out version of tacos that are served in your usual Tex-Mex restaurants. But, it was not until late, when I started looking for the “real, authentic, Mexican Tacos.” I would always hear my Hispanic friends telling me that, Tex-Mex is not real Mexican food, and Tacos served at a Tex-Mex restaurant, is a definitely not real Tacos.
But, we are not going to talk about real or fake Tacos here. All we are going to talk about is, Tacos, Tacos and just Tacos!
